Technical Specifications*:

  1. Wet and Dry Systems:
  • Wet Systems must be inspected every 2 months (5 times per year as required by Ontario Fire Code) along with one (1) annual test.
  • Dry Systems must be tested annually. A trip test every three (3) years is also required. After performing the trip test a monthly low point test (November to March) will need to be conducted to make sure the system is completely drained.
  1. Standpipes:
  • One (1) annual flush of the fire department connections
  • Hydrostatic testing once every five (5) years
  1. Fire Pumps
  • Diesel fire pump weekly testing (30 minute test)
  • One (1) annual fire pump test
