| Description: |
The District requires a qualified moving company to provide general moving service of furniture, equipment and supplies between the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Warehouse, 1224 Stittsville Main Street, Stittsville, Ontario and school sites within the City of Ottawa. The bulk of the work will be performed with one (1) 26’ to 36’ truck and a driver/mover and labourer/mover, Monday to Friday from 07:00 am to 3:00 pm twelve (12) months per year. The hours worked each week will be seasonal. During some months like the summers or school holidays you may be on site five (5) days per week. Other times, it will be on an as and when needed basis. There may be weeks when your staff are only needed for one or two days. On occasion, moving services will be required beyond the hours noted and variable hours according to the season or month. Extended daily hours may be required throughout July and August to accommodate new school openings, school closures or transfer of programs from site to site.
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario serving students within a 2,760 square kilometer area known as the city of Ottawa.
